More than 75 years ago, Bangalore was a small city and was rapidly growing as one of the major industrial hubs of India.

Realising the potential and need for quality and reliable rubber products such as hoses, transmission belts etc., a retail shop called Rubber Stores was started in the prime business area of Bangalore, SJP Road.

In 1952, the shop became a registered trading company and was known as Oriental Rubber Trading Company (Regd.). After a decade in 1963, the company became a private limited company called Oriental Rubber Trading Company (Mysore) Pvt. Ltd.
